How Important Are Historical Places Or Monuments

Historical places are very important in the life. They hold the history with them that can be conveyed to the future generations, we can study the history better with the help of such monuments. We can also learn about lifestyle, culture, religion and traditions of the past.

Threats to the historical places

The first threat is pollution. Both air and water pollution affects the appearance and structure of historical monuments. For example, a few years back I read in a newspaper that the Taj Mahal is turning off-white in color because of air pollution spread out be nearby industries. The second threat is the visitors themselves. Visitors often do not maintain discipline and they either misuse such places or damage it. Lastly, the emerging danger is terrorism. Terrorists target historical monuments for various reasons. For example, a few years back, terrorists in Afghanistan destroyed large statues of Buddha, a masterpiece of art, history and spiritually for so called religious reasons.

Governments/ individuals role

Governments should impose strict rules for preventing pollution and damage at historical places. They should also provide security to protect such places from misuse be visitors and antisocial activities. On the other hand, individuals can behave responsibly when they visit historical places. They should not damage any part of monuments. They should also maintain cleanliness of the area by throwing their garbage in garbage bins only.

Infrastructure should be changed or not

I think the infrastructure of the monuments and Wisata Garut the surrounding area should not be changed because if local buildings are converted into hotels and restaurants, local people have to shift at other places. And without local people and local architecture, the overall charm of the place reduces up to a great extent. The monuments look isolated and dull if the surrounding area is changed, hence, to keep the original effect and combination intact, governments should not develop the infrastructure of historical places. Ultimately, the architecture, art and the ambience of the place are more important because they are instrumental in attracting various tourists.
